Clinical Focus

Treating the root cause of illness Through science and tradition with a personal touch

Integrated healing starts with understanding the root cause of a condition. An individualized approach to your health involves selecting the appropriate tools to suit you. As a naturopathic doctor, I am trained as a primary care provider and work with patients with both acute and chronic health concerns.

Neurological & mental health

I support patients with neurological illness or injury by evaluating for related endocrine, immune, or digestive imbalances. An integrative, functional approach to treatment may include optimising nutrition, supporting mental and emotional wellness, and providing lifestyle recommendations including cognitive and physical fitness.

  • Mental fatigue & burnout
  • Brain injury & concussion
  • Age-related cognitive decline
  • Neurodegenerative disease
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Anxiety and depression
  • PTSD

Chronic Pain Relief

Healing an injury requires a multifaceted approach to ensure that the body has what it needs to recover. I create comprehensive, personalised plans that may incorporate: Lifestyle modification, nutrient supplementation, acupuncture, as well as manual and regenerative injection therapies to encourage and support the body’s natural healing processes by supporting digestive, immune, and hormone health. I am trained and certified to provide prolotherapy, prolozone, and neural therapy, and incorporate ultrasound guidance when necessary.

Allergies & Autoimmune Conditions

Whether they present as skin rashes, itchy eyes, or breathing difficulties, my approach to treating allergies is to restore immune system regulation. An assessment may include blood or skin testing for food and environmental triggers. Conditions common in my practice include:

  • Seasonal allergies & hay fever
  • Environmental allergies to dust, pet dander, fragrance, & cleaning agents
  • Food allergies, intolerances, and sensitivities
  • Autoimmune conditions including celiac disease, inflammatory arthritis/rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, autoimmune thyroid and adrenal conditions,
  • Chronic infections

Women’s Health

I take a whole-body, multi-system approach when working with female patients that goes beyond just reproductive health. I work with women who desire a proactive approach that optimises their health and mitigates risk factors for neurological, cardiovascular, and reproductive disease. For women with a chronic condition or family history of reproductive disease, my role becomes supportive, integrating strategies to slow the disease process where possible and prevent progression.

Poor sleep, brain fog, low energy, hot flashes, and weight gain may seem ‘normal’, but they are important clues about what is happening at a deeper level. I take the time to thoroughly assess your symptoms and create a plan that integrates current medical research with appropriate naturopathic tools. Conditions common in my practice include:

  • Cervical dysplasia
  • PMS
  • Metabolic syndrome
  • Endometriosis
  • Endometrial hyperplasia
  • Menopause
  • Endocrine disorders
  • Thyroid conditions
  • Prevention and management of cardiovascular health

Concussions & Brain Injury

I welcome patients with mild to severe traumatic brain injuries, both acute and chronic, resulting from recent or past trauma caused by car accidents, athletic injuries, and other life-altering experiences.

Symptoms include:

  • Cognitive dysfunction
  • Mental health concerns
  • Vestibular and balance issues
  • Dysautonomia
  • Migraines and pain conditions
  • Sensory dysfunction
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Cardiovascular concerns
  • Disordered sleep

I incorporate a deep understanding of physiology and pathology to identify the mechanism of injury through a thorough assessment based on each patient’s unique symptoms, and provide an integrative, long-term healing blueprint for individualized treatment.

Treatments may include:

  • IV therapy
  • Manual therapies
  • Nutritional supplementation
  • Counselling
  • Neurosteroid and hormone therapy
